We have donated £50,000 to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Myanmar Earthquake Appeal, to support those affected by the devastating earthquakes on the 28th of March.
This disaster has further intensified an already underfunded humanitarian crisis, with an estimated 19.9 million people – over a third of the population – now in urgent need of assistance.
As a result of the earthquake, over 1.2 million people have been displaced and at least 120,000 buildings destroyed. Disasters Emergency Committee member charities are on the ground in affected communities, working hard to provide safe shelter, clean water, food and medical care.
